Merge PDF files into one

Add your PDFs, put them in the order you want and download them as a single file. Each file's pages are copied across as they are.

1. Add PDFs

2. Merge

Files are joined in the order shown. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and quality is unchanged.

Add two or more PDFs to merge.

How to merge PDF files

  1. Add your PDFs

Drag and drop up to 50 PDF files onto the page, or choose them. You can add more later.

  2. Check each file

Every file is shown with a thumbnail of its first page and its page count, so you can recognise it.

  3. Put the files in order

Use the move up and move down buttons to reorder, and remove any file you do not need.

  4. Merge and download

Create the merged PDF and download it. The files appear in the order shown, with all their pages.

Frequently asked questions

How do I merge PDF files into one?

Add your PDFs, arrange them in the order you want and create the merged file. You get one PDF with all the pages of each file, in the order shown.

Can I change the order before merging?

Yes. Use the move up and move down buttons on each file. The merged PDF follows the order on screen.

Does merging reduce the quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are rather than re-rendered, so the quality is unchanged and text stays selectable.

Are bookmarks and form fields kept?

Bookmarks (the outline) are not kept, and fillable form fields may stop being fillable. Links inside a page are kept. If you rely on bookmarks or fillable fields, check the merged file.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

Up to 50 files, each up to 100 MB, with 200 MB in total.

Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

No. Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged in the browser, and the tool refuses them with a message. The same goes for PDFs that open without a password but have restrictions. Remove the protection with the program you used to set it, then add the file again.

Can I combine photos and PDFs?

This tool only accepts PDF files. To turn photos into a PDF first, use Image to PDF, then merge the result here.

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. Merging runs in your browser and the files are not uploaded. There is no sign-up and no watermark. The result is saved as merged.pdf.
