Change PDF page size

Need every page on A4 for a form or printer? Choose the new page size and each page is scaled onto it, centred. This changes page dimensions, not the file size — for a smaller file, use Compress PDF.

This changes the page dimensions, not the file size. To make the file smaller, use Compress PDF. Pages are placed as they are, so text stays sharp and selectable. Links, bookmarks, form fields and comments aren't carried over — use Flatten PDF first to keep comments or filled-in fields.

How to change a PDF's page size

  1. Add your PDF

Choose one PDF, up to 100 MB.

  2. Choose the size

A4, Letter, Legal, A3, A5 or a custom width and height in mm.

  3. Fit or fill

Fit keeps the whole page (with blank edges if the shapes differ); Fill covers the page and trims the edges. Add a margin if you like.

  4. Download

    Save resized-pages.pdf.

Frequently asked questions

How do I change a PDF to A4?

Add the PDF, choose A4 and download. Every page is scaled onto an A4 page, centred.

Will content be scaled or cropped?

Fit scales each page to fit entirely (blank edges may appear). Fill scales it to cover the page and trims what overflows.

Does this reduce the file size?

No, it changes the page dimensions. To make the file smaller, use Compress PDF.

Can I use a custom size?

Yes. Choose Custom and enter the width and height in millimetres.

What does “resize PDF” mean?

It can mean either the page size (this tool) or the file size (Compress PDF).

Will form fields survive?

No. Pages are redrawn on new pages, so form fields, comments, links and bookmarks aren't kept. Use Flatten PDF first if the values or comments matter.
