Frequently asked questions

How do I save all images from a PDF?

Add the PDF and download the ZIP. Every image that can be saved is in it.

Do I get the original quality?

For JPEG photos, yes: they are copied exactly as stored. Other images are saved as lossless PNG at their stored resolution.

How is this different from PDF to JPG?

PDF to JPG saves whole pages as pictures. This tool saves only the images inside the PDF, at their own resolution.

Why are some images missing?

Text, charts and drawings are usually not images. A few rare image formats (such as CMYK) are skipped and counted.

Can I extract images from a scanned PDF?

Yes, but each scanned page is usually one big image, so you get one image per page.

Does it work on password-protected PDFs?

Remove the password first with Unlock PDF, then extract.
