How to print a PDF as a booklet

  1. Add your PDF

    Choose one PDF, up to 100 MB. Portrait pages work best.

  2. Choose the paper

    Pick the paper you'll print on, for example A4: each booklet page is half of it (A5).

  3. Download

    Save booklet.pdf. Blank pages are added at the end if the page count isn't a multiple of 4.

  4. Print and fold

    Print double-sided, flipping on the short edge, then fold the stack in half. Try one sheet first.

How do I print a PDF as a booklet?

How many pages should a booklet have?

A multiple of 4, because each sheet holds four pages (two on each side). Blank pages are added if needed.

Do I need a duplex printer?

It's easiest. Without one, print the odd sheets, turn the stack over and print the even ones; test with one sheet first.

Which way do I flip the paper?

On the short edge, because the pages sit side by side on a landscape sheet. Printers differ, so try one sheet first.
