How to print Aadhaar front and back on one A4 page

  1. Add the front and back images

Choose a JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC (iPhone) image for the front of your card and another for the back.

  2. Rotate and crop each side

Turn an image in 90° steps if it is sideways, then crop away the edges of the table or scanner bed so only the card remains.

  3. Choose paper and card size

Pick A4 portrait or landscape. Keep the standard card size of 85.60 × 53.98 mm, or enter a custom width and height in mm.

  4. Adjust position and spacing

Move each image inside its card area and set the gap between the two cards. Check the live preview of the final page.

  5. Download or print

Download the A4 page as a PDF, or open it for printing. In the print dialog, choose Actual size or 100% scale.

What you can do with this tool

  • Both sides on one sheet

Front and back are placed together on one A4 page, with adjustable spacing between them.

  • Real card size

The default is the standard ID-card size of 85.60 × 53.98 mm. You can set a custom width and height in mm if your card differs.

  • Rotate, crop and position

Rotate each image in 90° steps, crop it, and fine-tune its position within the card area.

  • Never stretched

The aspect ratio of your images is always preserved, so the card is not squashed or stretched to fit.

  • Preview matches the PDF

The live preview is drawn from the same layout numbers that are used to generate the PDF.

  • Cut lines and print quality

Optional thin grey cut lines help you trim each card, and each side shows its print resolution in DPI so you can spot a blurry photo before printing.

  • Stays on your device

All processing happens in your browser. Your images are not uploaded to any server, and there is no sign-up.

UIDAI does not publish this size on its website. It is the international standard size in which PVC Aadhaar cards are made, so if your card measures differently, use a custom size. When printing, choose Actual size or 100% scale, not Fit to page, otherwise the card will be scaled.

Frequently asked questions

What is the size of an Aadhaar card in mm?

A PVC Aadhaar card is normally 85.60 × 53.98 mm, the standard ID-1 size also used for bank cards. UIDAI does not publish this on its website, so measure your own card and use the custom size option if it differs.

How do I print Aadhaar front and back on one A4 page?

Add an image of each side, rotate and crop them, choose A4 portrait or landscape, check the preview and then download the PDF or print it. Both sides are placed on the same sheet.

Will the printed card be the actual size?

Yes, if you print at Actual size or 100% scale. Do not choose Fit to page or Shrink to fit, because that scales the whole page and the card will no longer measure 85.60 × 53.98 mm.

Can I use a custom card size?

Yes. Enter a custom width and height in mm. Your image keeps its aspect ratio and is never stretched to fill the area.

Can I use a photo from my iPhone?

Yes. HEIC photos are supported. If your browser can't open HEIC itself, a converter is downloaded from this site the first time you add one, and the conversion still happens on your device.

Are my Aadhaar images uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing happens in your browser and your images are not uploaded to any server. There is no sign-up, and the tool is free to use.

Is PdfDady connected to UIDAI or the government?

No. PdfDady is independent and not affiliated with UIDAI or the Government of India. This tool only arranges the images you provide. It does not create, verify or alter any Aadhaar details, and whether a printed copy is accepted is decided by the organisation asking for it.

Should I share my full Aadhaar number?

Only if it is needed. If you just need to share a copy, you can download a masked Aadhaar from UIDAI, which hides the first eight digits of the number and shows only the last four. Check first that the organisation accepts a masked copy.
